Tiko Estate Website and Wine Shop
A Georgian–English website and online wine shop for Tiko Estate, a winery in Shilda, Kakheti, making wines from Georgia’s native grape varieties.
Challenge
Tiko Estate was founded by Levan and Giorgi, two professional winemakers who grew up in Ukraine and came back to Georgia to make wine. Based in Shilda, in Kakheti, the estate works only with Georgia’s native grape varieties: Kisi, Khikhvi, Mtsvane, Rkatsiteli and Saperavi from Kakheti, and Shavkapito from the limestone soils of Kartli.
The winery needed a website in Georgian and English that tells the founders’ story and the estate’s philosophy, and lets customers buy its wines online.
Solution
ABOVE Digital built Tiko Estate’s bilingual website and wine shop on WordPress and WooCommerce. Every wine — from the 2023 Saperavi Solo and Shavkapito to The Edge range and a pétillant naturel — has its own page, with prices in GEL and add-to-cart straight from the wine list.
Because the site sells alcohol, visitors confirm that they are 18 or older before entering. The estate’s emblem — the great tree from the founders’ grandfather’s yard — runs through the design.
Alongside the shop, the site covers the estate’s story and philosophy, and a news section follows the winery at tastings and fairs, from London and Copenhagen to Wine Expo Georgia 2025.
